Call to Order

A Home Run Club meeting for Piedmont Baseball was held on November 2, 2021, via Zoom and was presided over by Coach Skokowski.

Announcements

• NEW: Construction on the new field
  • There was an issue with settling.  Two architects had a miscommunication.  The dirt did not settle correctly so there are uneven spots.  They have been measuring the settlement over the last couple of months.  Permission to resume work was given last week.  Locker room and coaches’ offices are done. 
  • Currently scheduled to be available on Feb 1, 2022. 
• NEW: Schedules are done and on website
• REMINDER: Middle School Tryouts are in January
• NEW: Cindy will be contacting school to set up a money training session for January
• Practice – Players will be required to wear turfs during practice.  Turfs will be provided by Booster Club fund for every player.
• Mr. Boice is donating shirts, each player will get 2 shirts.  Will also be doing the artwork for free on the shorts.  Will be purchasing shorts for the players out of Booster Club fund.  If not a shorts day, will need white pants for practice. 
• In the process of ordering first set of hats for the high school players.  BSN is taking a lot longer on hats.

Fundraisers

• NEW: Blue and Gold Fundraiser –
  • Will be in Tuesday, November 16^th
• Email Fundraiser – Starts in January – goes for 21 days
• Advertisement signs
  • Will be doing video board ads instead of fence signs – $300

• Spring Break Off Days (V=3/12-3/16, B=3/12-3/16, G=3/13-3/17)
• Spring Break Practice (V=Morning of 3/18, B=3/18, G=3/19)
• Hosting Tournaments (V=3/31-4/2, B=3/24-3/26, G=3/10-3/12, JH=4/7-4/9)
• NEW: Hosting a 5A only Varsity festival – 7 teams (4/21 – 4/23)
• NEW: Edmond Spring Break festival co-hosting (3/17 & 3/18 will be at our field)

Chain of Command

• Playing time, Practice Questions – player needs to talk to Coach prior to parents talking to Coach
• Issue with Coach – go to that Coach first, Coach Skow next if needed, next AD Mr. Bilyeu, next Superintendent, next School Board
