Game 1

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats had all cylinders firing on offense on Monday, winning big over Guymon Tigers Varsity 11-1.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats fired up the offense in the first inning, when Dax Priddy doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats notched five runs in the second inning.  Jackson Harriger and Weston Thomas all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Caleb Lunnon pitched Piedmont Varsity Wildcats to victory. The right-hander surrendered one run on one hit over five innings, striking out seven.

Gage Martinez took the loss for Guymon Tigers Varsity. Martinez lasted four and third innings, allowing eight hits and 11 runs while striking out one.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats totaled eight hits in the game.  Priddy and Cole Girard each collected multiple hits for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats.  Girard and Priddy each managed two hits to lead Piedmont Varsity Wildcats.  Piedmont Varsity Wildcats tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Cole Riggs led the way with two.

Carson Martinez went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Guymon Tigers Varsity in hits.

Game 2

Fidel Hatch didn’t allow a single run as Piedmont Varsity Wildcats defeated Guymon Tigers Varsity 11-0 on Tuesday. Hatch allowed just one hit.

Weston Thomas led Piedmont Varsity Wildcats to victory by driving in four runs.  Thomas went 2-for-3 at the plate.  Thomas drove in runs on a single in the third and a triple in the fourth.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats scored six runs in the fourth inning.  Piedmont Varsity Wildcats put the pressure on, lead by an error on a ball put in play by Gabe Clyden and Dax Priddy, a triple by Thomas, and a single by Noah Smith.

One bright spot for Guymon Tigers Varsity was a single by Carson in the third inning.

Hatch pitched Piedmont Varsity Wildcats to victory. The right-hander surrendered zero runs on one hit over five innings, striking out 11.

Gonzalez took the loss for Guymon Tigers Varsity. The hurler surrendered 11 runs on six hits over one and two-thirds innings.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats totaled ten hits in the game.  Smith, Trey Migl, and Thomas each had multiple hits for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats.  Thomas, Migl, and Smith all had two hits to lead Piedmont Varsity Wildcats.  Piedmont Varsity Wildcats didn’t commit a single error in the field. Jackson Harriger had the most chances in the field with six.

Carson led Guymon Tigers Varsity with one hit in two at-bats.
