Blue Sweeps Carl Albert JV

Game 1

Despite seeing its four-run lead whittled down by the end, Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats still held off Carl Albert JV for a 4-3 victory on Tuesday.  Carl Albert JV scored two runs on a groundout in the fifth inning.

Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats got on the board in the second inning.  Cole Pruitt tripled on a 1-1 count, scoring three runs.

Noah Aller got the start for Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats. The lefty went four innings, allowing one run on one hit and striking out four.

#37 was on the mound for Carl Albert JV. The bulldog surrendered four runs on four hits over five innings, striking out eight.  #20 threw one inning in relief.

Pruitt went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats in hits.

#11 led Carl Albert JV with two hits in three at-bats.  Carl Albert JV tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. #7 led the way with three.

Game 2

An early lead helped Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats defeat Carl Albert JV 6-5 on Wednesday.  Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats scored on a fielder’s choice by Xane Crawford, a triple by Cole Pruitt, and a single by Ty Bohuslavicky in the first inning.

Carl Albert JV scored three runs in the first inning, but Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats still managed to pull out the victory.  Carl Albert JV big bats were led by #20, #31, and #7, who all drove in runs.

In the top of the third inning, Carl Albert JV tied things up at five.  An error scored one run for Carl Albert JV.

Nic Elmhurst led things off on the mound for Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats. The hurler allowed three hits and three runs over two innings, striking out two.

#30 started the game for Carl Albert JV. The bulldog allowed four hits and four runs over one and one-third innings, striking out one and walking one.  #18 threw one and two-thirds innings in relief.

Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats tallied seven hits.  Elmhurst and Bohuslavicky each had multiple hits for Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats.  Bohuslavicky and Elmhurst each managed two hits to lead Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats.
