Two Piedmont Wildcats Pitchers Rally Together In Shutout Victory Against Lookeba-Sickles Panthers Varsity

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats defeated Lookeba-Sickles Panthers Varsity 8-0 on Friday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats secured the victory thanks to five runs in the sixth inning.  Piedmont Varsity Wildcats big bats were led by Cole Riggs, Weston Thomas, Carter Ashby, and Jakeb Koop, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats fired up the offense in the first inning.  Dax Priddy singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats put up five runs in the sixth inning.  Riggs, Thomas, Ashby, and Koop each had RBIs in the frame.

A single by PlayerD in the fourth inning was positive for Lookeba-Sickles Panthers Varsity.

Cole Girard was credited with the victory for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats. The righthander went one inning, allowing zero runs on zero hits and walking zero.

Fidel Hatch started the game for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats. The pitcher lasted five innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out nine.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats scattered nine hits in the game.  Thomas and Priddy each had multiple hits for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats.  Thomas went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Piedmont Varsity Wildcats in hits.

Cascia Hall Varsity Commandos scored three runs in the third inning, but Piedmont Varsity Wildcats still managed to pull out the victory.  The big inning for Cascia Hall Varsity Commandos came thanks to an error on a ball put in play by PlayerC and a double by PlayerD.

Cascia Hall Varsity Commandos took an early lead in the third inning when PlayerD doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs.

After Cascia Hall Varsity Commandos scored one run in the top of the ninth, Piedmont Varsity Wildcats answered with one of their own.  Cascia Hall Varsity Commandos scored when PlayerD singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.

Dalton Hampton was the winning pitcher for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats. The pitcher surrendered zero runs on one hit over three innings, striking out four.  Cole Girard and Ethan Nawaz entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
