Blue Shuts Out Sante Fe South

Nic Elmhorst threw a gem on Friday for Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats, allowing zero runs and besting Santa Fe South Saints JV by a score of 16-0.

Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats secured the victory thanks to ten runs in the second inning.  John Whetter, Jacob Boesch, Rance Proctor, Luke Hayes, Whetter, and  Elmhorst each drove in runs during the inning.

In the first inning, Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats got their offense started when #30’s wild pitch allowed one run to score for Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats.

Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats notched ten runs in the second inning.  Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats offense in the inning was led by Whetter, Boesch, Proctor, Hayes, Whetter, and  Elmhorst, all knocking in runs in the inning.

A single by #23 in the second inning was positive for Santa Fe South Saints JV.

Elmhorst led the Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats to victory on the mound. The pitcher lasted four innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out eight and walking one.

#30 was on the hill for Santa Fe South Saints JV. The pitcher lasted three innings, allowing eight hits and 16 runs while striking out six.

Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats hit one home run on the day. Jackson Elliott had a long ball in the first inning.

Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats racked up eight hits.  Elliott and Ty Bohuslavicky each managed multiple hits for Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats.  Bohuslavicky and Elliott each collected two hits to lead Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats.  Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Dylan Zerger had the most chances in the field with eight.
