Pruitt Dealing on the Mound

Cole Pruitt shut down Bethany Bronchos JV, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats to a 13-0 victory on Saturday.

Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats secured the victory thanks to nine runs in the fourth inning.  Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats’ big inning was driven by singles by Pruitt, Ty Bohuslavicky, Brayden Johnson, and Pruitt, a walk by Dylan Zerger, a groundout by Luke Hayes, and an error on a ball put in play by Andrew Goff.

Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats got things started in the first inning.  Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats scored two runs when Johnson singled.

Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats scored nine runs in the fourth inning.  The rally was led by singles by Pruitt, Bohuslavicky, Johnson, and Pruitt, a walk by Zerger, a groundout by Hayes, and an error on a ball put in play by Goff.

One bright spot for Bethany Bronchos JV was a single by #17 in the first inning.

Pruitt was credited with the victory for Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats. The fireballer allowed two hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out six and walking one.

#17 was on the hill for Bethany Bronchos JV. The hurler surrendered five runs on five hits over three innings, striking out three.  #10 threw one inning out of the bullpen.

Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats collected nine hits on the day.  Pruitt, Bohuslavicky, and Johnson each racked up multiple hits for Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats.  Johnson, Bohuslavicky, and Pruitt all had two hits to lead Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats.  Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Bohuslavicky led the way with two.
