Fidel Hatch didn’t allow a single run against El Reno Varsity Indians, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Piedmont Varsity Wildcats to a 15-0 victory on Tuesday.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats fired up the offense in the first inning when Vincent Walker induced Weston Thomas to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats scored six runs in the fourth inning.  The rally was led by singles by Cole Girard and Jordan Askren, a home run by Noah Smith, and a double by Trey Migl.

One bright spot for El Reno Varsity Indians was a single by Ryan Ramey in the second inning.

Hatch pitched Piedmont Varsity Wildcats to victory. The righty went five innings, allowing zero runs on four hits and striking out seven.

Walker took the loss for El Reno Varsity Indians. Walker surrendered seven runs on five hits over two innings, striking out one.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats smacked one home run on the day. Smith had a four-bagger in the fourth inning.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats totaled 14 hits.  Migl, Thomas, and Logan Hill all managed multiple hits for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats.  Hill, Thomas, and Migl each collected two hits to lead Piedmont Varsity Wildcats.  Piedmont Varsity Wildcats was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Jackson Harriger had the most chances in the field with seven.
