Verus Tuttle

Piedmont Wildcats Blue lost the lead late in a 4-3 defeat to Tuttle Junior Varsity Tigers on Friday.  The game was tied at three with Tuttle Junior Varsity Tigers batting in the top of the seventh when Caden Austin doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

Piedmont Wildcats Blue lost despite out-hitting Tuttle Junior Varsity Tigers eight to seven.
Tuttle Junior Varsity Tigers knotted the game up at three in the top of the sixth inning, when Memphis Hixon singled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring one run.

Grayson Barnes got the win for Tuttle Junior Varsity Tigers. Barnes surrendered three runs on seven hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out 12.  Carson Boswell threw two and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Noah Aller took the loss for Piedmont Wildcats Blue. The pitcher surrendered four runs on six hits over six innings, striking out five and walking zero.

Piedmont Wildcats Blue socked one home run on the day. Jackson Elliott went for the long ball in the fifth inning.

Nic Elmhorst, Elliott, Dylan Zerger, Brayden Johnson, Andrew Goff, Jackson Califano, Rhyder Dreschler, and Cole Pruitt each collected one hit to lead Piedmont Wildcats Blue.

Hixon went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Tuttle Junior Varsity Tigers in hits.

Versus Bridge Creek

Piedmont Wildcats Blue had everything working on Friday, winning big over Bridge Creek JV 12-3
Bridge Creek JV got on the board in the first inning when #6 singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
Piedmont Wildcats Blue pulled away for good with six runs in the third inning.  In the third Cole Pruitt doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run and Ty Bohuslavicky tripled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.
Rhyder Dreschler led the Piedmont Wildcats Blue to victory on the pitcher’s mound. The ace lasted two and two-thirds innings, allowing four hits and three runs while striking out three.  Rance Proctor and Pruitt entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

#3 toed the rubber for Bridge Creek JV. The pitcher went two and two-thirds innings, allowing six runs on three hits and striking out two.  #14 threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Jackson Califano started the game for Piedmont Wildcats Blue. The fireballer went one-third of an inning, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out one, and walking zero.

Piedmont Wildcats Blue totaled nine hits in the game.  Dreschler, Pruitt, and Bohuslavicky each racked up multiple hits for Piedmont Wildcats Blue.  Bohuslavicky, Pruitt, and Dreschler each collected two hits to lead Piedmont Wildcats Blue.

#17 led Bridge Creek JV with two hits in two at-bats.
