Piedmont Varsity Wildcats took their game in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off double at the end of the game to topple Elk City Elks.  Piedmont Varsity Wildcats trailed 6-5 in the bottom of the seventh inning when Jakeb Koop doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.

There was plenty of action on the basepaths as Piedmont Varsity Wildcats collected seven hits and Elk City Elks had 13.

Elk City Elks got things started in the second inning.  Jones grounded out, scoring one run.

Elk City Elks scored three runs in the fifth inning.  The big inning for Elk City Elks came thanks to singles by Boyd and J Holder.

Jackson Harriger was the winning pitcher for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats. Harriger lasted three innings, allowing five hits and one run while striking out two and walking zero.  Jacob Nieuwenhuis threw three and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Culves took the loss for Elk City Elks. Culves surrendered three runs on three hits over two-thirds of an inning, walking zero.

Weston Thomas started the game for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats. The righty lasted one-third of an inning, allowing one hit and zero runs while walking zero Jones started the game for Elk City Elks. The bulldog lasted three innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out one and walking zero.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats hit one home run on the day. Noah Smith had a dinger in the sixth inning.
Dalton Hampton went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Piedmont Varsity Wildcats in hits.

Elk City Elks totaled 13 hits.  Culves, Holder, Holder, and Hughes all collected multiple hits for Elk City Elks.
