Blue Sweeps Bridge Creek

Game 1

Rance Proctor was an RBI machine on Saturday, driving in four on two hits to lead Piedmont Wildcats Blue past Bridge Creek JV 23-5 on Saturday.  Proctor drove in runs on a home run in the second and a single in the fourth.

Piedmont Wildcats Blue earned the victory despite allowing Bridge Creek JV to score four runs in the fourth inning.  #7, #12,  #5, and #19 all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Piedmont Wildcats Blue got things moving in the first inning, when Cole Pruitt doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

Piedmont Wildcats Blue put up nine runs in the fourth inning.  John Whetter, Noah Aller, Trevor Tewell, Proctor, Luke Hayes, and  Tyler Christenson all drove in runs in the frame.

Jacob Boesch was the winning pitcher for Piedmont Wildcats Blue. The fireballer surrendered four runs on three hits over three innings, striking out three.  Nic Elmhorst threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
#20 led things off on the pitcher’s mound for Bridge Creek JV. The pitcher went two-thirds of an inning, allowing nine runs on four hits.  #19 threw three innings out of the bullpen.

Piedmont Wildcats Blue socked one home run on the day. Proctor had a homer in the second inning.
Piedmont Wildcats Blue collected 17 hits on the day.  Xane Crawford, Elmhorst, Ty Bohuslavicky, and Proctor all managed multiple hits for Piedmont Wildcats Blue.  Elmhorst and Crawford each collected three hits to lead Piedmont Wildcats Blue.

Game 2

Noah Aller didn’t allow a single run against Bridge Creek JV, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Piedmont Wildcats Blue to a 10-0 victory on Saturday.

Piedmont Wildcats Blue fired up the offense in the first inning, when John Whetter drew a walk, scoring one run.

Piedmont Wildcats Blue notched three runs in the third inning.  The offensive firepower by Piedmont Wildcats Blue was led by Jacob Boesch and Cole Pruitt, who each had RBIs in the inning.
One bright spot for Bridge Creek JV was a single by #11 in the second inning.

Aller was the winning pitcher for Piedmont Wildcats Blue. The lefthander surrendered zero runs on four hits over five innings, striking out nine and walking one.

#5 started the game for Bridge Creek JV. The bulldog allowed five hits and seven runs over three innings, striking out four.  #14 threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Piedmont Wildcats Blue tallied eight hits on the day.  Pruitt and Jackson Elliott each racked up multiple hits for Piedmont Wildcats Blue.  Elliott and Pruitt each managed two hits to lead Piedmont Wildcats Blue.  Piedmont Wildcats Blue didn’t commit a single error in the field. Tyler Christenson had the most chances in the field with ten.
