Friday’s game against Noble Bears Varsity was a heartbreaker for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats, as they lost the lead late in a 4-2 defeat.  The game was tied at two with Noble Bears Varsity batting in the top of the sixth when Ethan Nawaz induced Lovell to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats captured the lead in the second inning when Cole Riggs grounded out, scoring one run.

Nash led the Noble Bears Varsity to victory on the hill. The bulldog allowed three hits and two runs over three innings, striking out five.  #15 and Lovell entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Noah Aller took the loss for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats. The pitcher went one inning, allowing two runs on two hits, striking out one, and walking one.

Jakeb Koop started the game for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats. The hurler went four innings, allowing one run on three hits, striking out three, and walking one.

Riggs went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Piedmont Varsity Wildcats in hits.  Piedmont Varsity Wildcats didn’t commit a single error in the field. Jackson Harriger had the most chances in the field with eight.

Noble Bears Varsity totaled nine hits.  Golish and Knight all managed multiple hits for Noble Bears Varsity.  Noble Bears Varsity didn’t commit a single error in the field. Harper had ten chances in the field, the most on the team.
