Six Pitchers Combine for Shut-Out

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats defeated Chandler Varsity Lions 10-0 on Monday as six pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Weston Thomas induced a fly-out from Dalton Fowble to finish off the game.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats secured the victory thanks to six runs in the first inning.  Dax Priddy, Noah Smith, and Fidel Hatch each had RBIs in the frame.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats fired up the offense in the first inning when Priddy singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.
A single by Ty  Garver in the fifth inning was positive for Chandler Varsity Lions.

Caleb Lunnon led the Piedmont Varsity Wildcats to victory on the mound. The righthander allowed zero hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out one and walking zero.

Kyler Henley took the loss for Chandler Varsity Lions. The hurler lasted one-third of an inning, allowing four hits and six runs while striking out one.

Jacob Anglin, Jackson Harriger, Logan Hill, Priddy, Caleb Bird, Cole Riggs, Ethan Nawaz, Dalton Hampton, Smith, and Hatch each collected one hit to lead Piedmont Varsity Wildcats.  Piedmont Varsity Wildcats didn’t commit a single error on the field. Harriger had seven chances in the field, the most on the team.
Garver went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Chandler Varsity Lions in hits.
