Piedmont Varsity Wildcats tallied three runs in the seventh inning. Piedmont Varsity Wildcats’ big bats in the inning were led by a sacrifice fly by Smith and an error on a ball put in play by Dalton Hampton.
Smith earned the win for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats. The righty went six innings, allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out nine, and walking zero. Carson Coleman threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
