Piedmont Varsity Wildcats Takes the Game Over Sylvan Hills Bears Varsity in a Blow-Out Victory, 8-2

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats asserted their will over Sylvan Hills Bears Varsity on their way to an easy 8-2 victory

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats fired up the offense in the first inning.  Noah Smith doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats tallied three runs in the seventh inning.  Piedmont Varsity Wildcats’ big bats in the inning were led by a sacrifice fly by Smith and an error on a ball put in play by Dalton Hampton.

Smith earned the win for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats. The righty went six innings, allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out nine, and walking zero.  Carson Coleman threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Kelvin Battles toed the rubber for Sylvan Hills Bears Varsity. The righty allowed one hit and five runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out four.  Joe Shirley and Max Percefull entered the game as relief, throwing three and two-thirds innings and two-thirds of an inning respectively.

Clayton Harrington, Logan Hill, and Smith each collected one hit to lead Piedmont Varsity Wildcats.  Piedmont Varsity Wildcats was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Hampton had the most chances in the field with ten.
