Piedmont Varsity Wildcats lost the lead late in a 4-3 defeat to Bixby Varsity Spartans on Friday. The game was tied at three with Bixby Varsity Spartans batting in the bottom of the sixth when Bailor singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.
Bixby Varsity Spartans fired up the offense in the first inning. Bixby Varsity Spartans scored two runs when Williams doubled.
Jakeb Koop was on the mound for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats. The righthander lasted two and third innings, allowing three hits and three runs while striking out four. Noah Aller threw three and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Luke Hill led Piedmont Varsity Wildcats with two hits in three at-bats. Piedmont Varsity Wildcats didn’t commit a single error in the field. Jackson Harriger had seven chances in the field, the most on the team.
Bixby Varsity Spartans racked up eight hits in the game. Williams and Moore all managed multiple hits for Bixby Varsity Spartans.
