Three Pitcher No-Hitter Against the Spartans

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats’s three pitchers didn’t allow a single hit, as Piedmont Varsity Wildcats defeated Southeast Spartans Varsity 15-0 on Monday.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats got things started in the first inning.  Logan Hill drew a walk, scoring one run.

Catcher Lindley pitched Piedmont Varsity Wildcats to victory. The ace lasted two innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out five and walking zero.  Luke Hill and Cole Pruitt entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Varela led things off on the hill for Southeast Spartans Varsity. Varela surrendered 12 runs on five hits over one and one-third innings, striking out two.  Granados threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats collected eight hits on the day.  Jackson Elliott and Nicholas Elmhorst each managed multiple hits for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats.  Elmhorst and Elliott all had two hits to lead Piedmont Varsity Wildcats.  Piedmont Varsity Wildcats didn’t commit a single error in the field. Reid Smith had the most chances in the field with 12.  Piedmont Varsity Wildcats stole ten bases during the game as three players stole more than one. Elliott led the way with three.
