Piedmont Varsity Wildcats had all cylinders firing on offense on Thursday, winning big over Putnam City North Varsity Panthers 13-2

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats got things started in the first inning.  Logan Hill singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats tallied five runs in the second inning.  The rally was led by an error on a ball put in play by Cole Girard and Andrew Goff, a single by Weston Thomas and a double by Jakeb Koop.

Noah Aller led the Piedmont Varsity Wildcats to victory on the pitcher’s mound. The southpaw allowed two hits and two runs over four innings, striking out one.  Hill threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Nathan Richey started the game for Putnam City North Varsity Panthers. Richey lasted two innings, allowing five hits and eight runs while striking out two.  Aaron Wall and Atticus Duffy-Relf entered the game as relief, throwing one, one-third innings, and two-thirds of an inning, respectively.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats collected eight hits on the day.  Hill and Luke Hill all collected multiple hits for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats.  Hill and Hill all had two hits to lead Piedmont Varsity Wildcats.  Piedmont Varsity Wildcats was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Koop made the most plays with eight.
