Weston Thomas had all the right stuff on Friday for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats, allowing zero runs and besting Duncan Varsity Demons by a score of 10-0

Jakeb Koop led Piedmont Varsity Wildcats to victory by driving in four runs.  Koop went 2-for-3 at the plate.  Koop drove in runs on a double in the third and a single in the fourth.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats tallied five runs in the fourth inning.  The offensive onslaught by Piedmont Varsity Wildcats was led by Noah Smith, Koop, and Logan Hill, all driving in runs in the frame.

One bright spot for Duncan Varsity Demons was a single by Jeffry Cross in the first inning.

Thomas led things off on the mound for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats. The righty surrendered zero runs on two hits over five innings, striking out five and walking one.

Jayce Ramirez toed the rubber for Duncan Varsity Demons. The righty allowed three hits and five runs over three innings, striking out three.  Jaxon Simpson and Gabriel Murillo entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two-thirds of an inning and one-third of an inning respectively.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats scattered five hits in the game.  Koop and Nicholas Elmhorst each had multiple hits for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats.  Elmhorst and Koop each collected two hits to lead Piedmont Varsity Wildcats.

Cross led Duncan Varsity Demons with two hits in two at bats.
