Piedmont Varsity Wildcats had no trouble on offense today, winning big over 2023 Claremore Zebras Varsity 10-1

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats got things started in the first inning when Weston Thomas singled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring two runs.

Clayton Harrington was credited with the victory for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats. Harrington lasted five innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out two.

Saxton Pickup was on the mound for the 2023 Claremore Zebras Varsity. The right-hander allowed one hit and four runs over one-third of an inning.  Tyson Grimett and Marcos Sallee entered the game from the bullpen, throwing three and a third innings and one-third of an inning respectively.

Thomas, Luke Hayes, Jackson Harriger, Luke Hill, Jackson Elliott, Dalton Hampton, and Noah Smith collected one hit to lead Piedmont Varsity Wildcats.  Piedmont Varsity Wildcats stole six bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Smith led the way with two.  Piedmont Varsity Wildcats was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Reid Smith had the most chances in the field with seven.

Brazen Bockius led the 2023 Claremore Zebras Varsity with two hits in two at-bats.
