Logan Hill With a Walk-Off to Win District

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats seized victory in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off single at the end of the game to topple Carl Albert.  The game was tied at 12 with Piedmont Varsity Wildcats batting in the bottom of the seventh when Logan Hill singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats collected ten hits and Carl Albert had nine in the high-scoring affair.

Carl Albert opened up an early lead in the second inning when an error scored one run for Carl Albert.

Carl Albert scored four runs in the second inning.  Brodie Hinson, Tanner Norman, and Hutch Russell all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

Jackson Califano was on the hill for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats. The pitcher lasted two-thirds of an inning, allowing three hits and three runs while striking out one.

D Murphy started the game for Carl Albert. The bulldog allowed five hits and seven runs over four innings, striking out three.  Samuel Gonzalez and Jackson Fixico entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two innings and one-third of an inning respectively.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats collected ten hits on the day.  Hill, Jakeb Koop, and Nicholas Elmhorst each racked up multiple hits for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats.  Elmhorst, Koop, and Hill each managed two hits to lead Piedmont Varsity Wildcats.

Carl Albert saw the ball well today, racking up nine hits in the game.  Norman, Russell, and Gonzalez each had multiple hits for Carl Albert.
