  • Welcome – Coach Skokowski
  • Update on Questions for Athletic Department, awaiting answers
  • Selling our old reel mower & fungo man? (maybe like $2000 coming in)
    • Moving forward steps are to properly document the equipment through the school district inventory and financial department.
    • Once the proper paperwork has been filed, we can further discuss the resell back to the company.
  • Discussion of outdoor cages on site (not wanting to take away from indoor cages)
    • This project is being deferred at this time.
    • Will be revisited in future budget planning.
    • Many factors go into planning for projects such as this that school districts must consider. It must be a project that is well-planned and follows the rules and regulations of public education.
  • Bullpen lighting (athletic dept funding)
    • Waiting for response from District Athletic Director
  • Dug-out pad replacements (athletic dept funding)
    • These are only 2 years old; (this is the 3rd year) we want to keep up the looks of our facilities so we are currently getting quotes for replacement pads.
    • Took one down today; and for a stop-gap finding duct tape to slow down the increase in tears in the mats.
    • Researching the company that put these in, to ensure that the replacement padding matches the original padding.
  • Offsite banquet request – APPROVED

    • Starting Monday 12/4; practice is not restricted so we can go longer
  • Practice has been going great, the boys are really doing well
    • Ending around 5:45 pm, Wednesday we will keep short
  • Dogpile Challenge Briefing
    • The boys did great and worked well in teams
    • Were able to celebrate the hard work with a surprise outing to Main Event (baseball account funded)
  • End of offseason meetings right now (offseason up until 12/1) (preseason up until opening game) (during the season)
  • Met with the Freshman team as a whole, meeting with players in small groups, in other grade levels.
  • MS Try-outs
    • February 12 – 14 (may extend through February 15) players will know by the end of the week.
    • Keeping 22 kids per team is the plan (7th grade – 22; 8th grade 22)
    • Coaches will communicate whether players make a team in small groups. Players not on a team will be moved into an elective course, Current Events class.
    • MS BSN Order window will open as well
    • MS Email Fundraiser will open after try-outs as well
    • MS Parent Meeting
    • Skow will confirm a meeting date for parents soon. Looking at the week after tryouts.
  • Hosting other Teams in our F&M Baseball Park
    • Hosted OCU games this past weekend – and were able to keep gate money for our baseball program
    • Opportunity to host NOC Tonkawa baseball team this weekend, TBC
    • These types of opportunities are great for the program, it allows our players the opportunity to see collegiate teams play as well as raise money for our program.
  • Baseball will be using the indoor multi-sport facility by the football field. We have it reserved from Jan. 1 through May 15th, 2:30 – 5:30 pm every day.
