Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats Beats El Reno JV Behind Christenson’s No-Hitter

Tyler Christenson was brilliant on the pitcher’s mound on Tuesday, as Christenson threw a no-hitter to lead Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats past El Reno JV 14-0.

Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats secured the victory thanks to nine runs in the third inning.  Christenson, Trevor Tewell, Nic Elmhorst, Jackson Elliott, Rance Proctor, and  Christenson each had RBIs in the frame.
Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats got on the board in the first inning when Elliott’s sac fly scored one run for Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats.

Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats notched nine runs in the third inning.  Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats batters contributing to the big inning included Christenson, Tewell, Elmhorst, Elliott, Proctor, and  Christenson, who all drove in runs.

Christenson was the winning pitcher for Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats. The ace allowed zero hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out seven.

#12 took the loss for El Reno JV. The pitcher allowed four hits and 12 runs over two innings, striking out two.

Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats socked one home run on the day. Cole Pruitt had a dinger in the second inning.

Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats collected seven hits on the day.  Pruitt and Elliott all had multiple hits for Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats.  Elliott and Pruitt each collected two hits to lead Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats.  Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Dylan Zerger made the most plays with eight.  Brayden Johnson led Piedmont Junior Varsity Wildcats with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with seven stolen bases.
