Deja Vu, Another No-Hitter

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats’s four pitchers didn’t allow a single hit, as Piedmont Varsity Wildcats defeated Guymon Tigers Varsity 19-0 on Friday. Jacob Boesch struck out #12 to get the last out of the game.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats secured the victory thanks to 11 runs in the second inning.  Logan Hill, Cole Girard, Reid Smith, Cole Pruitt, Jakeb Koop, and  Clayton Harrington each had RBIs in the big inning.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats got things started in the first inning.  Dalton Hampton grounded out, scoring one run.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats scored 11 runs in the second inning.Ā  Piedmont Varsity Wildcats’ offense in the inning was led by Hill, Girard, Smith, Pruitt, Koop, and Ā Harrington, who all drove in runs.

Noah Smith led things off on the pitcher’s mound for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats. The pitcher allowed zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out four and walking zero.

#3 was on the hill for Guymon Tigers Varsity. The bulldog lasted one inning, allowing seven hits and 11 runs while striking out one.  #27, #33, and #11 each contributed in relief for Guymon Tigers Varsity.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats racked up 12 hits on the day.  Hill, Smith, and Pruitt each managed multiple hits for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats.  Pruitt, Smith, and Hill each collected two hits to lead Piedmont Varsity Wildcats.  Piedmont Varsity Wildcats tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Weston Thomas led the way with three.  Piedmont Varsity Wildcats was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Smith had the most chances in the field with 13.
